Speedweek Downunder
Couple of pics from Saturday. What can I say, definitely not much happening. Lucky I knew some people out there, and got to meet a few more characters. Stung us $40 a piece to get in and there was nothing happening cause no one knew about it.
It relied on entrants competing to make Speedweek work. But where were the entrants? Having talked to a few bike shops the day before, I realised no one had heard of the event. It could have been something great, and is what we need here in Queensland. Just the people who needed to know didn't.
But hopefully this does not deter them for next year. With some better networking through talking with bike clubs they can make it work in the future. But this time I feel sorry for the vendors.
